  Harlie Hutton,
Vice President of Public Relations
Kingston High School

I’m Harlie Hutton, your 2020-2021 Arkansas Vice President of Public Relations. I attend Kingston High School in rural Northwest Arkansas where I am currently a Junior. I have been a member of KHS FCCLA for the past five years, and have loved every minute of it. Leadership is a true journey and mine started at the end of 7th grade when I decided to run for a local officer position; I am now serving my fourth year as a leader in my chapter. Our chapter is small, but I’ve taken advantage of big opportunities provided to me through FCCLA. I was part of our advocacy team for the national pilot program iBuckleUp weBuckleUp in Washington D.C. (2017) and last year I was the captain of our Life Smarts Knowledge Bowl team, where we completed at NFC in Dallas, TX (2019). FCCLA has so many unique opportunities for members to challenge themselves as they grow to meet their full potential. This organization truly means the world to me; it has strengthened my family ties, made me a more confident public speaker, and helped me to make lifelong connections. My interests outside of FCCLA include FFA, Rodeo, and Trap Shooting. I also own two horses, Honey and Quincy who are my absolute world. My goal as a state officer is to bring everyone closer together and strengthen our FCCLA Family through social media outreach. William James has been quoted as saying “act as if what you do makes a difference, IT DOES!” Arkansas FCCLA, everything you do makes a difference; at home, in your school and around your community, every day you are making an impact that is beyond measure!
